About the author










John Perry is a Canadian Jesuit who was at the Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation and participated in an effort to teach people in the rural areas about the importance of effective hand washing with chlorine and water.

T. Debey Sayndee is the Liberian Director of the Kofi Annan Institute for \Conflict Transformation. He has been involved in peace building in Liberia and other West African countries for many years.
