Excerpt from Landmarks of History; Ancient History: From the Earliest Times to the Mahometan Conquest
IN offering this excellent little book to the public, the American Editor desires to say a few words of explanation. Having used the Land marks in her own classes for the last two years, she has noticed various inaccuracies, which she has endeavored to correct; some parts of the Grecian history have been rewritten, and in other places events have been mentioned, which seemed of sufficient importance to require some notice; while on the other hand, certain events connected with the history of the Church, which are not well authenticated, have been omitted.
