About the author

Madelon Sprengnether is the author of several books of poetry and nonfiction, including: The Normal Heart, Rivers, Stories, Houses, Dreams, La Belle et La Bete, a co-edited collection of travel writing, The House on Via Gombito, and Crying at the Movies: A Film Memoir. She lives in Minneapolis, where she teaches literature and creative writing at the University of Minnesota.
