Klappentext New book from an internationally renowned Belgian sculptor Tahon s work will be showcased in West Adams as part of Human Condition from October 1st 2016 through November 30, 2016 Johan Tahon is a Belgian sculptor who has exhibited his work internationally since 1994, having first been discovered by art curator and museum director Jan Hoet. Tahon made his mark at the internationally renowned exhibition 'De Rode Poort', where he was given the chance to interact with other world-famous artists. Since then, he has had a slew of his own solo exhibitions as well as collaborative ones with artists such as Ilya Kabakov, Gunther Forg, Tony Cragg and Stephan Balkenhol. Tahon s famous sculptures remind the onlooker of human figures, albeit with a high degree of unnaturalness. In that he share an affinity with the works of Alberto Giacometti. With his long silhouettes, Tahon connects the artist with the beholder of his works through negative space. Tahon s latest work will be shown with other contemporary artists at the site-specific exhibition, Human Condition, in West Adams, Los Angeles from October 1st 2016 through November 30, 2016."
