Present study was conducted to synthesize and characterization of Polyurethane Polyvinyl Chloride reverse osmosis polymeric composite membrane. This was done by casting membranes from Polyurethane/Polyvinyl Chloride blend with and without Silicon Dioxide. Polymeric membrane of Polyurethane/Polyvinyl Chloride were synthesized with different concentration of Silicon Dioxide (filler) i.e. 5%, 7%, 10%, 12.5% and 15%. After synthesis characterization of the prepared membrane by different techniques including functional group study via Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Micrographic investigation, Differential Scanning Calorimetric analysis, Thermo Gravimetric Analysis, Water Swelling Index, Oxidative Stability and Ion Exchange Capacity were also done.
