About the author










Werner de Saeger is an interdisciplinary historian, legal scholar, theologian and philosopher. He grew up in Belgium, studied at Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, Jerusalem, Brussels, Leuven and Leiden and did research on Constantine in the Vatican, Istanbul, Rome, Naples and Trier. He teaches at the University of Oxford in Regent's Park College and in the Department of Continuing Education.
