Adams was in Hartford, April 27th, and commu nicated Brown's recommendation to the Gov cruor and Council of Connecticut: the governor and council thereupon resolved on the. Capture, and despatched a party of men, who moved at once to Colonel John Brown and reported to him, which indicates that they acknowledged his agency: and then, the Connecticut men, in company with John Brown, kept moving, on to Ticonderoga and victory, - having first' drummed up Ethan Allen.
