Plant secondary metabolites have many practical, pharmaceutical and or potential medicinal value. They can be found with all forms of plant structures both internally and externally. This book focuses on plant secondary metabolites that are found on Ariel plant left structures like trichomes. These trichomes can be glandular or non glandular, but usually contain several elucidated or non discovered potentially medical proteins. In this case I will be elucidating a plant secondary metabolites that is found in leaf trichomes known as phylloplanins and the possible uses of them as antimicrobials.

About the author

Dr. Brian King graduated from the University of Kentucky with several degrees. He obtained a PhD in crop science and plant biochemistry in 2011. He also holds a degree in masters of business administration, and biotechnology. His extensive knowledge of plant secondary metabolites makes him an expert in the field.
