Pig husbandry is a vital mean of livelihood for rural farming communities in Mizoram. Traditionally pigs are reared under backyard without any scientific consideration. Being important part of the feeding system, unconventional feed-stuffs have importance for sustainability of pig production practices in Mizoram.
