The book motivates the researchers working in the area of image processing to find a solution to ease the life of deaf and dumb persons. It presents a novel idea of using camera for lip reading i.e. just by observing the lip movements by camera, the spoken word can be interpreted so that deaf and dumb people may communicate like normal persons. Neeru Rathee is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, New Delhi. Her research area include image processing, facial expression analysis and computer vision.
