Geriatric citizens are among the neglected population when it comes to basic health care. This stems not only from lack of adequate health coverage, but also from the poor health-seeking behavior of this sector of humanity. Social isolation, financial constraints, negligence by the family members, and depression could be the root causes of this. This project has been undertaken to highlight the widespread disabilities in elderly people, both in urban and rural areas, and their hesitation to ask for medical assistance. Measures have also been suggested to free them of their strife, and pool them into the healthy, productive, and socially well-adjusted populace.
