Studies have been performed to have appropriate plant species which has proper enzyme to degrade coloured substances.Presently, phytoremediation technique is carried out with the two different plant species namely: Polyalthialongifolia and PhyllanthusNiruri extracts and immobilizing enzyme activity present in that plant. These enzymes were immobilized by using Sodium Alginate and Calcium chloride because immobilized enzymes are more stable. Spectrophotometric analysis was performed to determine the degradation of the dye.

Poonam Wadhwani had obtained her B.Sc. degree (Chemistry) in 2009, M.Sc. degree (Physical Chemistry) in 2011, M.Phil in 2013 and Ph.D. in 2016 from Gujarat University, India. Currently, she is working in President Science College as Assistant Professor.
