About the author










A.W. Richard Sipe, an ordained Roman Catholic Priest, now retired from active ministry, is married and lives in Maryland, where he is a psychotherapist in private prac­tice. Since 1972 he has held an appointment as lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Currently he serves as chair of the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Sexual Trauma Insti­tute, Collegeville, Minnesota. He is the author of A Secret World: Sexuality and the Search for Celibacy.
