Holography is a quite interesting problem where gravity in its geometry contains lots of information about its boundary which may correspond to some quantum field theory such as conformal field theory, non-Abelian Yang-Mills theory, condensed matter theory or fluid dynamics. The most fruitful studies are centered around the conformal field theories where type IIB string theory on compactified AdS has been conjectured to N=4 Super-Yang-Mills theory in four dimensions. While solving the full string spectrum is still an open challenge, the study of semi-classical string has improved the understandings of various aspects of AdS/CFT correspondence as well as strengthens it. This book is focused on the study of multi-spin semi-classical strings in anti de-Sitter space. The solutions are presented as giant magnons and spiky strings. This will help graduate and undergraduate students who are working on to solve full string spectrum in the context of gauge/gravity duality.
