Adygean (Circassian) Culture

The first part of the monograph deals with the Adygean (Circassian) ethnic and political history, major issues of ethnic culture (everyday's structures, social, normative and humanitarian cultures), the second part - widespread in Circassia archaeological cultures and Circassian ornament. The monograph is added by an album, which includes the works of European and Russian artists of the 17-19th centuries depicting the life of the Circassian paople.

About the author

Prof. Nugzar Antelava - Doctor in History, ethnologist. Mr. Antelava researches the ethnological and mythological problems of the Caucasian peoples. He has published numerous scientific papers, including 5 monographs. He works in Circassian Cultural center as research-coordinator and works as a lecturer in several universities.
