International student migration is dynamically altering the overall landscape of global higher education. This qualitative case study research explored diverse impacts of Nepalese students migrating to Australia for higher studies. The research findings revealed that Nepalese migration rates were seemingly higher compared to their return intention. As a result, Nepalese economy gained technical know-how and entrepreneurships significantly but also experiences gradual decline in human capital. For this reason, the country should formulate strategic policy to address this glowing issue by ensuring peace and stability in the country so that situation could revitalise higher education and employment sectors with a view to enable a viable environment for the national human resources development and growing productive sectors sustainably.
