Encore quelques mors préliminaires. C'est avec intention que j'ai adopté ce titre Souvenirs d'un Parisien. J'aime passionnément ma ville natale, et, jusqu'à [age de vingt - sept ans, je ne m'en suis, pour ainsi dire, pas absemé. Paris sera donc le décor où surgiram tous mes souvenirs d'enfance et de jeunesse, et je ne résisterai certainement pas au plaisir d'évo quer, au cours de mon récit, les anciens aspects de cette ville extraordinaire qui nous étonne par sa con tinuelle transformation.
