È tuttavia da osservarsi che le nostre ricerche si estenderanno anche a quanto si riferisce al dialetto, alla musica, ai costumi e alle arti del popolo; infine, a tutto ciò che possa rivelare nelle sue manifestazioni iloolgo di Roma questo volgo che ora, per la demolizione dei suoi quartieri e per la crescente civiltà, va scomparendo. Certamente, di qui a un mezzo secolo non saran più possi bili quelle ricerche, che oggi 'ci è dato tentare con qualche profitto. La generazione nuova avrà in questi volumi il ricordo vivente di un popolo che non è più.
