This book analyzes the institutional underpinnings of East Asia's dynamic growth by exploring the interplay between governance and flexibility in an endlessly demanding globalized marketplace. Frederic C. Deyo is professor of sociology at SUNY, Brockport, and honorary professor and NZAI research fellow at the University of Auckland. Richard F. Doner is associate professor of political science at Emory University. Eric Hershberg is program director at the Social Science Research Council.
