The reflective practice programme provides a guide for the registered nurses and other health care providers to reflect in clinical practice. Reflective practice can be regarded as a tool for change and improvements to see clinical effectiveness and quality care. Thus reflection is an essential aspect of the nurses' daily practice. Through reflection, nurses will become reflective practitioners who provide quality care to the patients effectively. Thus institutions of nursing education should realise that the most important and advanced step in the provision of nursing education is the teaching of reflective practice in order to produce reflective practitioners. The author is of the opinion that being in a dynamic world the development of reflective practice is of great importance to facilitate reflection among nurses.
