Globally, birds are beneficial of an ecosystem and useful to agricultural economy in the control of the plant pest. But unplanned development of towns and cities in modern times has created unnatural situations including unhealthy proliferation and concentration of birds around airfields. In this study 47 birds species have been recorded with their seasonal occurrence, data which pose a threat to aircrafts during landing and takeoff. In the study areas, 44 species of flora were also recorded which play an important role in providing nesting and roosting points for avifauna. The research techniques and information are helpful as baseline study for graduate and research students of Wildlife Management, Biological and Environmental Sciences etc.
