Entoto Natural Park and Escarpment, is being affected due to various natural and anthropogenic threats. This increases the threat for bird species as well as the whole biodiversity in the area from time to time. A total of 124 species belonging to 14 orders and 44 families were identified in the study area during the wet and dry season surveys. Four habitat types: forest, farmland, church and eucalypts plantation. During dry season highest avian diversity (H'=3.73) was observed in farmland habitat followed by the forest (H'=2.96) whereas during wet season highest avian diversity (H'=3.98) was observed in forest followed by church areas (H'=3.25). Highest number of species was recorded on farmland and forest during dry and wet season, respectively. The highest species similarity between forest and farmland during both wet and dry season. The mean number of species and individuals showed significant difference between habitats and seasons. The target groups for which the book was written were local people, NGOs, the Federal, Regional, Zonal bureau and Woreda and kebele level administrators, schools, park managers, farmers, environmental conservation authority and policy makers.
