Earthworm Biology: Recent Advances in Techniques to study Earthworms is aimed at researchers in zoology who have specific interest to study various aspects of earthworm viz., molecular and biochemical including eco-taxonomy. The book would also be of interest to non-taxonomists to identify earthworms by using modern tools of molecular taxonomy (DNA barcodes) and biotechnologistsand those working on applied aspects of earthworms. Book includes digital presentation of taxonomically important morphological and anatomical characteristics of earthworms and techniques to identify at molecular level. Chapters include necessary reagents, procedure and software, step-by-step with readily reproducible protocols. A case study of earthworms of Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India is also included to present an example to identify earthworms using coi-gene(DNA Barcodes). Potential of earthworms using it as bioremediating agent for heavy metals and nanoparticles has also been included to provide first-hand information for post graduate and research students of this new coming-up area.
