The present book entitled 'The Ethno-medicinal Plants of North East India (vol-2)' is a reference book focusing on different aspects of ethno-medicinal plants traditionally using by the tribal communities at gross root level/ traditional practicenors, especially among the "Garo tribe" in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya, India. The information were arranged based on their scientific names, author's name, family, common name, local name, habit, locality, description, plant parts used as well as their mode of application for the treatment of various ailments viz., diabetes, blood pressure, cancer, jaundice, headache, stomach-ache, common cold, malaria, epilepsy, skin diseases, cough and fever.

Dr. Amritesh C. Shukla is Professor & Head, Dept of Horticulture, Aromatic & Medicinal Plants, Mizoram University, India. Recently, he was Visiting Professor at UBC, Canada (2013-14). He obtained D.Phil (1998) & D.Sc Degree (2010) in Botany from University of Allahabad; published around 100 papers/articles & earned US, UK, Japanese & Indian patents
