This Book focuses on Platelets Storage Sciences under Hibernated and metabolic suppressed conditions. Dr Badlou in this book unravel 1) how shelf life of platelets could be prolonged, 2)how in fact apoptotic processes could be prevented 3) how isolated human platelets could be preserved for more than 18 days under blood banks' compatible conditions. Recent publications of Dr Badlou revealed that his approaches are working for both fresh and old platelets isolated in ex-vivo and/or in the blood banks. Dr Badlou introduced different novel systems, where also other isolated human blood cells, organs could be isolated and stored under the same condition, pre-transfusion and/or pre-transplantation.

About the author

Bahram Alamdary Badlou, was born in Tehran-Iran in 1964. In May 1998 finished his MSc in Medical Biology Sciences and Heart Transplantation Sciences+ and in 2006 got his PhD in Hematology Transfusion Medicine, at Medicine Faculty of University Medical Center of Utrecht. Now is Dr Badlou CEO of BBAdvies and Research International Company, Zeist, NL.
