The data mining techniques involved are Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH), the weighted least square (WLS), step-wise regression, and classification-based association rules. The data for applying those techniques were from World Development Indicator 2003 (WDI 2003), and from www.nationamaster.com. The result from www.nationmaster.com were as follows: that the corruption index was strongly related to the urban SO2 concentration.
