Malaysia is one of the top mega diverse countries in the world. This tropical climate country is a natural habitat for more than 24 thousands of potential anti-oxidant and anti-cancer species of rain forest plants. Pseuduvaria macrophylla belongs to Annonaceae family. This species has been rarely studied on their biological and chemical activities. In this research, antioxidant capacity by DPPH assay and ORAC assay, IC50, TPC, compound analysis using mass spectrophotometry and cytotoxicity test against MCF-7, HT29 and PC-3 cancer cell of P.macrophylla stem bark and leaf crude extracts in methanol and hexane were evaluated. We hope this book would be useful for the researchers who are interested in studying natural products and biopotential of our local plants to become future medicines against various chronic diseases especially CANCER.
