This book presents the findings of a study which investigated the extent to which teachers in Ohio public high schools integrate digital technology into classroom instruction, and barriers to teachers' extent of integration. The analyses are based on population sample of 256 teachers randomly selected from 18 randomly selected high schools across the State. Although 77% of the participants considered themselves competent and 83% proficient in integrating technology into learning, teachers' use of computers was low and sporadic at best, averaging 1.8 times a week, a level equivalence of computer novice. Both digital proficiency and availability of computers in Ohio public high school classrooms greatly affect teachers' extent of digital technology integration in classroom learning.
