To enable the development of environmental friendly technologies to power our world, it is essential for us to understand how these technologies themselves affect the environment and society. This work is undertaken to understand the environmental and social risks when developing Concentrated Solar Power plants so as to provide industry with a global picture of what needs to be given more care when developing such projects. It is the author's hope that this work will edify the process of improving the technology and its impact on the betterment of livelihoods and the ecosystem around specific sites. About the author

George is a trained engineer and holds a masters in Renewable Energy from the University of Oldenburg. He has experience working in the power sector in East Africa and has deep interest in the development of Renewable energy projects. He is active in project development for solar, energy efficiency and wind projects.
