The dominance of global markets has created a need for organizations to search for new set of competences to enable them to survive into the future. Whether they operate locally or in other countries' markets, global challenges are felt in every business. Research posits global mindset as a prerequisite for internationalization, but there is emerging debate about whether global mindset factors pose benefits or challenges to multi-national companies especially contractors. De-Graft Joe Opoku is a Research Assistant in the Department of Building Technology, KNUST, Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Construction Technology and Management from KNUST and an HND in Building Technology from Takoradi Polytechnic. He's currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Construction Management in the same university.
