Objective of the present study is to prolong the delivery of the active drug in the nanoparticle using a suitable carrier such as in situ gels which can effectively deliver the drug for an extended duration of time hence not only reduce the systemic side effects but also improve the therapeutic efficacy, patient compliance. Local drug delivery systems are better suitable for topical drugs particularly for skin rashes, cold sore, acne and buccal treatment.
