From one of the tallest spruce trees in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, a young troll somersaults to the ground and bumps into the legs of his father, Tundar, leader of the Two Toed Tree Troll clan. As the free-spirited Pip stares up at Tundar, he has no idea that in the blink of an eye, his life will change forever.
Pip, gifted with special abilities, is ready to embark on his first trip into enemy territory, and to do so, he summons a white stag to ride. A few seconds later, as boulders tumble down the mountainside toward them, Tundar and Pip fall off the frightened stag. The Rock Ridgers, creatures living in the treeless territory of the mountain, find and capture the two trolls before they can be rescued. Pip escapes and begins his own journey to save his father, who may be the prisoner of Magma, the leader of the Rock Ridgers.
In this epic tale, this young tree troll must take matters into his own tiny hands as he desperately searches for his father and attempts to bring peace to the clan's beautiful Utah glen.
