Tuberculosis status as the second leading cause of significant morbidity and mortality from an infectious disease worldwide, after human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The objective of this study was to determine the molecular epidemiology and genetic characteristics of M. tuberculosis directly from sputum specimens. TaqMan Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) Genotyping Assays, alongside with patients demographic data have been used for the study tuberculosis population in this work.
