It investigates and uncovers what conservatism has so successfully kept as its best secret and mystery, its root and its ultimate outcome, especially in America in contrast to Europe where it has not been so successful. The book rediscovers the point of origin and destination, namely the genesis and end-point of conservatism. It explores and detects the root, 'golden past' of conservatism in a different light or rather darkness, and diagnoses and predicts the destiny, ultimate future of conservatism in the same way. It reveals conservatism as the 'child' of the tyrannical, irrational past and the 'parent' of the totalitarian, anti-rational present and future.
