These problems are addressed in the context of Integrated Urban Water Management approach, which considers water supply a component of a more complex and holistic problem of strategic urban planning, where the city is a catchment area for water of multiple sources and uses, including drinking, washing, waste water disposal, recreational uses of water sources and water ways, recycling, and generally management of the whole water cycle from production to consumption.

Prof.Pasquale Lucio Scandizzo is a Director of the International Center of Economic Studies at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.Dr. Rovshan Abbasov is a Head of the Geography and Environment Department at Khazar University, Azerbaijan. His studies include several TEEB studies and works related to Ecosystem Valuation.
