Informationen zum Autor Katherine Spencer Halpern is Professor Emeritus at American University, and had known Philleo since her student days at the University of Chicago. She has worked as an applied anthropologist in a number of American Indian communities. She too now lives in Santa Fe, and is associated with the Wheelwright Museum. Ruth Landman is a Professor at American University, and began her acquaintance with Philleo Nash when she invited him to join the anthropology department there. Together they later organized a Margaret Mead Institute, and served as officers of the Anthropological Society of Washington.
