About the author










Paul Tokunaga (Master of Christian Studies, New College, Berkeley) is vice president and director of strategic ministries for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA. He started with InterVarsity as a student at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and has also worked with 2100 Productions and as Southeast Regional Director.

Bobby Gross is director of graduate and faculty ministries for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF). Bobby serves on the national board of Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA) and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, Bobby was a national field director for IVCF, served as an InterVarsity chaplain at the University of Florida, launched campus ministry in South Florida and was the regional director for New York/New Jersey. Bobby is the author of Living the Christian Year: Time to Inhabit the Story of God. He has also contributed chapters to three other books, including Faith on the Edge (InterVarsity Press) and Signs of Hope in the City (Judson).

Brooke has her masters degreen in counseling and works for the county in Illinois where she lives. Previously she was a staff member of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, serving a student chapter at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. She frequently writes for Student Leadership Journal.

Jon Tran (Ph.D.) is assistant professor of Christian ethics at Baylor University. Previously he was a staff member with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, serving a student chapter at University of California, Riverside.

Robbie F. Castleman (D.Min., University of Dubuque) is professor of biblical studies and theology at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She previously served for several years as a staff member with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, specializing in ministry to graduate students at campuses in and around Tallahassee, Florida. She is the author of the Fisherman Bible Guides Miracles, Elijah, David and King David (Shaw/Waterbrook) and the IVP Connect LifeGuide Bible Study Peter, and she is a contributor to the book For All the Saints (Knox/Westminster).

Kevin Blue wants his life to matter, and he's figured out where to start. Living in the heart of Los Angeles, he leads college students through experiences in urban ministry and on international treks to serve the poorest parts of the world. Kevin is a director with Servant Partners, which eschews comfort and dwells among the outcast. He is an elder at the multiethnic Church of the Redeemer in south central Los Angeles, focusing on racial reconciliation, compassion and justice.Find out more about Servant Partners at their website.
