Reverend Leroy Stidger (1885-1949) brought modern marketing and publicity tactics to his crusade to save souls. He was the inspiration for Sinclair Lewis' novel Elmer Gantry, and served as the forerunner to Billy Graham and Jerry Falwell. The story of Stidger's life is told here by his grandson, Jack Hyland.
