About the author

Moya L. Andrews Ed.D. is a Professor of Speech and Hearing Sciences and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculties at Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Andrews was born in Australia and received her bacelor's degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane. Her master's degree is from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and her doctorate is from Teacher's College, Columbia University, New York City. She is certified, licensed speech-language pathologist and a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and of the Society of Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children. She has worked in schools, clinics, and hospitals in Austrailia, Great Britain, and the United States and is a popular presenter of seminars here and abroad. Her publications include numberous research journal articles, therapy protocols, and Manual of Voice Treatment: Pediatrics Through Geriatrics, 2E, published by Singular Thomson Learning. She has received the Outstanding Clinician Award from the Indiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Distinguished Scholar Award from Indiana University's Office of Women's Affairs in Bloomington. She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Voice.
