Malcolm G. Knapp explores the engineering industry on which modern Grantham was built. He also pays tribute to the much-loved leader of education in Grantham, Nellie Frances Cant, who taught thousands of Grantham schoolchildren at Welby Street and Earlesfield County Primary. Malcolm G. Knapp is a dedicated local historian and has spent many years collecting photographs and researching the history of Grantham. He is the author of Bygone Grantham. He lives in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
