O Dr. Michel Leclerc nasceu a 31 de Janeiro de 1941, em St Benoit sur Loire (Loiret, França). Possuía um DES em Biologia, A doctorat ès Sciences in Immunology, e foi director do laboratório de "Immunology of Invertebrates" na Universidade de Orléans, França.
