The story of two sisters who are faced with a tragic devastating loss - the death of their mother and maternal grandparents in a road accident. The sisters, Priya and Sakshi are unable to cope with this loss and change in personality and behaviour causing deep concern to their surviving paternal parent, Balbir Sinha. Coupled with the family tragedy, the gradual drain of financial and material resources leaves the family of three crippled and emotionally numb. The father decides that a change of scenery is needed and propels them into a different world - a world so drastically different - everything turns upside- down.

About the author










Nirupama Akella is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at the College of Education, University of South Alabama, Mobile. She is a doctoral research assistant. Nirupama completed her M.A. Communication degree from University of South Alabama in 2010. This is her masters thesis on the motivations of volunteers in a not-for-profit organization.
