About the author

Gilles Deleuze wurde 1925 in Paris geboren. Bereits vor seiner Professur an der Sorbonne zeichnete sich Deleuze durch philosophiegeschichtliche Studien über Spinoza, Bergson, Hume, Kant und Nietzsche aus. 1995 beging Deleuze nach langer und schwerer Krankheit Selbstmord.

Félix Guattari (1930-92) lehrte am Collége de Philosophie in Paris. Seine Schriften, zum Großteil in Zusammenarbeit mit Gilles Deleuze entstanden, spannen thematisch einen Bogen von den Bereichen Philosophie, Wirtschaft und Politik bis hin zur klinischen Psychoanalyse.
