This book performs Statistical Analyses of Educational data. Initially simple descriptive measures such as mosaic plots are used to look for patterns in the data. Then univariate tests are used to look for relationships between the pass/fail status of the examination and other explanatory variables. Finally multilevel models are used to model the binary variable and determine the factors affecting this variable.

Ms. Nirodha Jayawardene graduated from the University of Colombo in 2012 with a first class in Statistics which is a 4 year degree. She obtained an A grade for her final year project and published a very good paper in the prestigious Journal of the National Science foundation of Sri Lanka which is a Thompson Reuters indexed journal.
