Newcastle disease is a major viral disease of poultry all over the world. In Bangladesh, among the poultry diseases Newcastle disease tops the list. The infectious agent of the Newcastle disease is known as Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV). This research presents advanced approaches for isolation, identification and adaptation of Newcastle Disease Virus Field Isolates in Embryonated Chicken Eggs and Chicken Embryo Fibroblast (CEF) Cells. Newcastle disease, locally known as Ranikhet disease is a fatal contagious disease of chickens or birds. A large number of chicken deaths cause great loss of our poultry industry. Besides this, the constant losses from Newcastle disease severely affect the quantity and quality of the food of people on marginal diets. However, the place and management of poultry farm is not scientific. Due to weak management, the out breaks of Newcastle disease increases day by day. So this disease is very alarming to our poultry industry. In this circumstance, this research might be very beneficial for the production of vaccine and controlling the disease as well.

Sharmin Jahan received her B.Sc. (Honors) and MS Research) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. She has expertise in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Public Health, Genetic Engineering, and Human Movement Science. Mrs Jahan has published around 10 research articles in reputed journals.
