Endoscopic Anatomy of Neurosurgery

English · Hardback

Description

Modern neurosurgery requires, more than ever, that the greatest possible therapeutic effect schould be achieved while creating the least amount of iatrogenic damage. Microsurgery, which was adopted in neurosurgery as early as the late 1960s, was only able to produce fundamental improvements when the new dimensions of surgical preparation it provided were based on a subsequent definition of anatomy within the same microdimension. With refinements of diagnostic methods, such as computed tomography and MRI, it has increasingly become possible not only to identify much smaller processes, but also to make anatomical details in the examined region visible to the neurosurgeon.
