Although in future coastal territories will become more developed and the economies of developing countries will undoubtedly diversify to some extent through industrialization dependence on coastal resources is likely to remain strong. Industrial expansion often involves the processing of agricultural, fishery and forestry products together with oil refining and textile manufacture. These expanded economic performances are often also dependent on coastal resources and as economic diversification increases and makes the constituent sectors more mutually dependent over coastal natural resources. The present book provides an outline of coastal issues and their management options of low lying deltaic coastal tract of Odisha coast. Which can be simplify transversely with space and time scales. The book commences into the perceptions and sketches, geological background, materials and coastal issues and appropriate management options. Even though there are environmental zoning perceptions which oversee the response to enlighten conduct over time scales that are pertinent to human societies. The present book is based a lot of our own research experiences in east coast of India.
