About the author

The Author: Elaine Freedman Fredericksen is Associate Professor of English at The University of Texas at El Paso. She received a Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition from The University of Alabama. She has twenty years of teaching experience at all levels from middle school through adult and is the author of numerous articles in professional journals.
