This is my personal memoir of the months leading up to the year during treatment and the wake, or the aftermath, of my youngest son's stage 3 cancer diagnosis.
An insight to the situation that changed not only my family's lives but changed a mom into a cancer mom not only until treatment is done but forever, which isn't a bad thing in the end.
How our family went through times we never ever thought we would have to face and certainly that my eight-year-old son should never have faced, but he did, and he's winning against cancer!
My memoir is a form of therapy to attempt to let go, if even just a little bit, of the continued anxiety and fear that also seems to plague moms and caregivers such
as myself.
Will the cancer come back? Will the follow-up scans be clear this time? The anxiety of attempting to understand what we struggle with now that we are in the wake of this childhood monster called cancer.
