Short Story Day Africa brings together writers, readers, booksellers, publishers, teachers and school children from all over the globe to write, submit, read, workshop and discuss stories and foster the love of reading and writing African fiction.
Rachel Zadok Rachel Zadok was born in Tel Aviv and raised in Johannesburg. She has a National Diploma in Fine Arts. She is the author of two shortlisted novels: Gem Squash Tokoloshe (2005) and Sister-Sister (2013).
Nick Mulgrew Nick Mulgrew was born in Durban, South Africa. He studied at Rhodes University and the University of Cape Town, at which he is a Mandela Rhodes Scholar in residence. He is an associate editor of Prufrock, the editor of uHlanga, and a columnist for the Sunday Times."
